Special Needs Care (I.D.D)
At Hughes Memorial, our dedication extends to providing exceptional care and support for individuals with special needs and intellectual and developmental disabilities (I.D.D). We prioritize creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where each resident's unique abilities and challenges are embraced with compassion and respect. Our specialized care plans are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our residents, incorporating personalized support, skill-building activities, and community integration opportunities.
How We Help
Personalized Support For Disabilities
Our staff understand that each Disability is different as well as how each resident handles them. Staff is trained to accommodate each resident for maximum comfort and security when caring for the resident, whether the disability is mental, physical, or both.
Skill-Building Activities
Our staff is dedicated to creating numerous skill-building opportunities for personal growth and improvement related to the disabilities of residents with disabilities. No matter the disability, our staff will find a way to include and accommodate each resident.
Community Integration Activities
Our staff understands the importance of community, and feeling of acceptance many of those that suffer from disabilities lack. Staff will coordinate with other residents and facilities to provide activities and foster a sense of community, friendship, and acceptance among our disabled residents.
